Rise of the Trend for Matrimonial Agreements-An Alternative to Court Proceedings
The breakdown of a marriage can be an extremely difficult and challenging time for all parties involved. The added pressure of trying to sort out finances and matrimonial assets can cause parties further stress and anxiety even in the most amicable cases.
It is therefore no surprise that more parties are trying to resolve the difficult issues relating to financial affairs and matrimonial assets by way of Matrimonial Agreements or Settlement Agreements, as has been recently reported in the case of Bill and Melinda Gates.
Matrimonial Agreements are agreements that are intended to resolve issues relating to matrimonial assets and finances without the need of having to resort to what can become very lengthy and protracted Ancillary Relief proceedings. As well as saving costs, such agreements can prove to be a more holistic approach in what is already a difficult, stressful and life changing time.
Should you require any further information or advice regarding Matrimonial Agreements or any other issue following the breakdown of your marriage contact Carlann Knox on 028 7136 8282 or email carlann@srmlegal.co.uk
'SRM LEGAL PROMOTES MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK'
As it is Mental Health Awareness Week, we at SRM Legal want to promote the importance of good mental health & well being.
Covid has had many of us cut off from social interaction and we have been over committed to work, home & family life in ways we may not see and how much it affects us. No matter who you are, life can be tough and really busy at times and we often find it difficult to take time out for ourselves.
As a team we support our employees who deal with complex cases on a daily basis and may find themselves facing challenges in their own personal lives. Everyone here at SRM Legal has an invaluable role in supporting well being in the workplace. It is this positive environment that has helped us establish the team to foster a culture which promotes physical & mental well being.
Research into reading books and the affects on mental health, is commonly known as a great simulator for opening our minds, strengthening our brains & helps to reduce stress & anxiety.
Our SRM Family have introduced a book club to take time out for ourselves & indulge in mind therapy and collaborate with each other on the books that we are all reading together.
'WE SUPPORT MENTAL HEALTH'!!!
